Remembering your Legacy

"... and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." - Paul in 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)

"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labours of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received." - Albert Einstein

If we but looked back at the legacy of our Faith, we would realise that we received the teachings from someone who passed it on to us. They in turn had received it from someone else before them. Each of us are links in this great chain of legacy - a chain that stretches back in history to the Apostles and to Jesus.

As individuals, we form current links that could stretch on again as a chain as we invest in the next generation, building into this legacy we have received. We need to exert ourselves in order to give it the same measure as we have received - we can do no less.

Just thought i'd share my verse of the week with you.

Acts 17:26-27 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

Best,
Caleb.
