We have often heard the remarks on how Christianity is irrelevant for today's culture, especially as we moved into a "post-modern" era of the 21st Century. Also some segments of the church - usually the market driven and seeker-sensitive, often cries out that we need to make church more relevant to the culture. It is when we follow the biblical mandate to live as salt and light where we are in society and to make disciples who do so, and not relying on programmes "relevant" to the culture, that makes Christianity relevant to the culture we are part of.
P.S. I also recommend Tim Keller's latest book - "The Reason for God". In it, he addresses the common objections to God that many non-Christians and atheist makes.
